February 2010
The energy as we came into 2010 was intense to say the least. We were being trained like Olympic athletes, whether we were aware of it or not, to get ourselves in shape for the year ahead.
As we know, these are important times we are living in, and for us to co-create a new world, we can’t be blocking our energy with old fear-based thought patterns that can generate fear, anger, resentment and isolation. The cosmic clock, since winter solstice, has been calling us to increase our light.
Although the year ends, celestially speaking, at winter solstice on the longest night of the year, energetically the new year does not begin until the first new moon following solstice. This year, depending on your location, that new moon was January the 15th, and it was a solar eclipse in Capricorn. This energy, astrologically, is a call to honour your authentic self by expressing it in everything you do. No easy task being authentic all the time, to do what you know in your heart you should do, rather than what you want to believe you should do. Part of the challenge to living authentically, has been, and is, discerning the beliefs that tie us to a past which no longer serve us, and the fears that formed the beliefs in the first place. The birth of 2010 is all about addressing these issues individually and collectively.
Normally the time between Winter Solstice and the new moon is one of quiet contemplation and dreaming. It is not a time of taking action or setting intentions; that is for the energy after the New Moon, when we can begin to visualize the seeds we wish to nurture in the year ahead. The poignancy of the location of the new moon solar eclipse, as well as the full moon lunar eclipses this new year, suggest that this is the year we dream a new world into existence. The seeds we grow this year have the potential to be unlike anything we have grown before. We are required to free up as much of our creative energy as possible. Any energy that is hidden, or blocked, needs to be released so we can work at visualizing and creating this new world, from our highest potential frequency.
I love the analogy of cleaning the windows in our light-house.
This year, before the new moon had arrived, we also had a full (blue) moon lunar eclipse on New Years Eve, providing the perfect opportunity to ‘clean our windows’. Lunar eclipses, like we had on New Years, tend to be about the end of old ways of being, old patterns, old beliefs. I gathered with friends to walk a spiral for the new year, outside in the snow. Lisa, our host, had devised an environmentally friendly way for us to make it a blue spiral. The energy in the center of the spiral was so strong that day. It was spinning and humming and full of colours. We shared our dreams for the future, and verbally acknowledged what we were ready to release.
This year it is so important that we take the time to feel whatever is coming up, to untangle our hearts, because many of our beliefs and ties to the old world, are impeding our ability to grow and come into greater awareness. Beliefs are habitual thought. Truth is always changing as we continue to grow. When this year’s cycle completes itself with a lunar eclipse at winter solstice 2010, I suspect the world will seem very different.
Remember: We are the change.
September 2011
Whatever the issue, I think all of us have been dealing with situations that are inviting us to find solutions. We are returning to ourselves and choosing where we will spend our energy.
July 2011
Humanity is increasingly being shown, collectively and as individuals, that we are waking from a long sleep, and that in fact we can break free from the limitations of past beliefs and metamorphose into joyous loving multi-dimensional beings.
June 2011
This is a story about the love and respect one native grandmother for the water of the earth, and a vision she had to show the water the depth of her love and respect.
May 2011
Consciously or unconsciously, all of us are being provided, these days, with opportunities to move deeper into self love and discovery of our connection to each other, our collective Oneness. Sacred sexuality is a means of deepening that experience.
April 2011
Enlightenment will begin right here, in the simple choices we make around energy, politics, food, and relationships.
March 2011
Imagine feeling one with the universe and also an individual within it; imagine merging with love. That's where we are headed if we have the courage to get there.
February 2011
The Mamus are trained to move between dimensions to understand the inter-relationships of all beings and natural systems. What if we could all do that, and our society was based on those principles.
December 2010
Together we are facing the darkness in the world, facing our dysfunction. We are uncovering secrets, no longer turning a blind-eye or letting someone else deal with the corruption. We feel the vastness of our numbers witnessing the error of our ways, and through our witnessing we are discovering that we are the light.
November 2010
We moved, we prayed in a variety of languages, we looked each other in the eyes, we celebrated life and each other. Perhaps most profound was the feeling of integration with the group and with ourselves as individuals.
October 2010
This autumn we are learning to trust in our journey, act on our intuition and reach out and touch someone who could do with a good dose of our compassion and energy.
